Deron Williams will reportedly have a press conference tomorrow where he will announce that he has agreed to an contract extension with the Utah Jazz. Deron Williams is currently on his rookie contract (he was drafted #3 over all in 2005), and has developed into not only the team leader, but also the apparent face of the franchise. This is good news for all Jazz faithful, and indicative of good things in the future. While Chris Paul (taken #4 in 2005) reached an agreement weeks ago, Deron William, his agent Bob McClaren, Kevin O'Connor and the rest of the Jazz brass needed more time to hammer out the contract. More news will be available tomorrow, and I have a feeling that this deal will not be for the full 5 years.
